Setting Windows 2000 default FAX Application & Zapp Handset

For experienced users:
The Zapp Handset may be configured to work with any fax application. All you have to do is:
a. set the Zapp Handset speed at 19200
b. configure the Handset as "Standard Modem 19200"
This document is a step by step guide for those who want to use the fax application included in Windows 2000 Professional (WinFax).

# If you use Hyundai H100 Handset:
Software Version: 6.0.8.8 (or later)
RM Speed (menu > 7 > 3 >19200)

Disable Voice Mail Option (#81 Call)
For (also) receiving fax messages enable Receive Fax Only:
Menu > 7 > 1 > Select FAX
(now the H100 handset is configured for FAX service)

# If you use Synertek S200 Handset:
Software Version: 2.0.25 or later
Handset Speed: (menu > 6 > 2 > 19200)

Disable Voice Mail Option (#81 Call)
For (also) receiving fax messages enable Receive Fax Only:
Menu > 6 > 1 > Select Fax Mode
(now the handset is configured for FAX service)

# Disable any other installed modem (if enabled):
Control Panel
System
Hardware
Device Manager 
Disable any other modem than Standard 19200 bps Modem

select Standard bps Modem

select the proper COM port (COM1 in this example)

# Modem Test (Query Modem)
Select (click) Standard 19200 bps Modem 
Click on Properties
Click on Diagnostics
Click on Query Modem
(wait ...)
The modem included in the handset is proper configured on your computing device.

# check the FAX Application
Windows 2000 Professional includes a FAX Application (WinFax)
Open Control Panel
Open Fax Properties (click on Fax)
Click on Advanced Options
Open Fax Service Management Console
Click on Devices
Double Click On Standard Modem
You may enable / disable sending / receiving Fax messages.

# Sending a message
Open a document Editor (like Microsoft Word)
Print the document to FAX Driver 
On a fresh installed Win2000 (with no other printer driver installed) you may see this message:
Click on Fax
Send Fax Wizard will appear
