Connect a Zapp Handset to MacOS X

# Requirements:
Mac OS X Computer
USB Direct Cable (by Prolific)
the following archive (downloaded from http://www.zappmobile.ro/data): osx_pf_01.zip

# Setting the speed of your high speed modem included in your Zapp Handset

Hyundai H1-00 Handset
press menu
press 7
press 3
select 230400 using up/down arrows
press select
press [END] button
The Zapp modem speed is now set to 230400bps.

Synertek S200 handset
press menu button
press 6 (Network)
press 2 (Computer Speed)
select 230400 using up/down arrows
press menu button when 230400 is selected
The Zapp modem speed is now set to 230400bps.

# Installing the USB Direct Cable  (by Prolific)
Install Prolific Driver 
Note: USB Cable should be unplugged.
Open osx_pf_01.zip archive
Open md_pl2303_v104.zip archive.
Execute ProlificUSBSerial_1.0.4.pkg (double click)
The Operating System may prompt for your username / password. 
You will see the welcome window of ProlificUSBSerialPL2303 Installer.
The installer may ask you the destination disk for the driver. Select the proper disk (example: MacOS X)
and continue.
Click Install (or Upgrade).
When installation process is competed you may close the window. 
Reboot (Restart) the computer
Plug the USB Cable.
You may see this message:
"The program you are using needs to use a system file that may reduce the security of your computer."
Click Fix and Use
Note: at this moment the USB Prolific driver should be installed.

# Install a Null Modem 230400
Open  osx_pf_01.zip folder.
Open Null Modem 230400.zip
Copy the file named Null Modem 230400 (Null Modem 230400.zip archive) to Library > Modem Scripts 

# Install the Zapp Modem Script
In Library folder, create a new folder called Terminal Scripts
From osx_pf_01.zip archive copy the file named ZappMobile to the folder named Terminal Scripts

# MacOS X Network Configuration
Go to System Preferences (Apple Icon > System Preferences)
Network
The operating system may inform you that "A new port was detected" (usbserial).
Click OK
Location: Automatic
Show: usbserial (this new option appears after a proper USB Prolific driver installation)

TCP/IP 
Configure: Using PPP

PPP
Service Provider: Zapp
Account Name: any (zapp)
Password: any (zapp)
Telephone no: #777
Save Password (checked)
PPP Options >
Advancer Options / Terminal Script : select ZappMobile
Click OK

Modem
In modem field select: Null Modem 230400
Disable "Wait for dial tone before dialing".
To apply the new network settings, click "Apply Now"
Connecting to Zapp Network
In menu bar go to the Handset Icon
(usbserial should be checked)
Click on Connect
You are on Internet.
